Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus has reportedly rejected a new deal and is making the club wait until the summer transfer window.

Jesus receives £65,000 per week under the terms of his current contract but the Man City hierarchy have been impressed with the Brazilian’s talents thus deciding to offer him an upgraded deal.

Man City had offered him a new contract in which Jesus was scheduled to receive £90,000 per week. But as per the reports, Jesus has rejected that deal.

The club were supposed to provide the new deal to the forward somewhere around Christmas but that was delayed a bit primarily because of the injury sustained by Jesus.

After the injury, Jesus was sidelined for six weeks and since then he has found it a tad bit difficult to break into the first team.

Despite the long injury lay-off, the Brazilian has managed to play 32 games in all competitions – scoring 11 goals.

The upgraded contract clearly states that Manchester City have complete faith in the 20-year-old but Jesus’ representatives think that he is worth more than £100,000 per week.

Gabriel Jesus might have rejected the first contract offer from Manchester City but the club’s management are pretty confident that the Brazilian will put pen on paper to a new deal after the current season comes to an end.
