Jose Mourinho has handed his transfer wishlist for the summer to the Manchester United hierarchy and the Portuguese has plans to strengthen every department.
Here are the positions that Jose Mourinho wishes to strengthen for the upcoming season and also the names of the players he wishes to sign.
1. CENTRAL DEFENCE:
Jose Mourinho wants to strengthen his back line and the United manager is planning to make a move for Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld. The Belgian International plays centre-back for the Lilywhites but he also has the capability of playing as a right-back. The Red Devils are planning to release a few defenders at the end of the season and Alderweireld will undoubtedly be a fine addition to the team.
But it remains to be seen if Daniel Levy would want to let go of Toby Alderweireld during the summer.
Manchester United are reportedly targeting Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic during the summer. Mourinho is set to lose both Michael Carrick and Marouane Fellaini at the end of the season and the United manager is eyeing a move for the Lazio ace.
A lot of top European clubs have an eye on Savic and Manchester United are no different.
Another important position that needs reinforcements is the left-back area. Jose Mourinho has decided to keep Luke Shaw for the next season after the former Southampton man has improved his performances over the past couple of months. But the manager also wants to bring in a more experienced player for the position.
Reports suggest that United will place a bid for Tottenham left-back Danny Rose.
Mourinho has previously shown interest in Rose and the full-back has also been wanting to move out of London for a while now.
Unlike Alderweireld, Spurs should not have any issues in letting Danny Rose leave the club as the player has featured in only a few games throughout this season.
