Chelsea and Arsenal are set to battle it out once again during the summer transfer window but this time it will not be for a player.

Both Antonio Conte and Arsene Wenger are under enormous pressure and both these managers might move out of their clubs by the end of the season.

Wenger has been under the guillotine for a very long time now and Conte’s situation too does not look too good – especially after Chelsea were knocked out of the Champions League.

Multiple rumours have claimed that both the clubs’ boards have started shortlisting their suitors for their next manager and there are a lot of common names on that list.

One such common manager is Luis Enrique – the former in charge of Barcelona.

Enrique managed Barcelona for three years  – finally stepping down from his chair back in 2017 and since then the Spaniard has been without a job.

For the longest time many British tabloids have been claiming that Chelsea boss Roman Abramovich wants Luis Enrique to replace Antonio Conte at the end of the season but now it seems that the Arsenal owners are also harbouring the same desire.

The Chelsea hierarchy had reportedly held multiple meeting with the former Barcelona manager in the hopes of bringing him to Stamford Bridge.

Now though it seems that Enrique is not really interested in taking up the Chelsea job.

The Daily Star are reporting that the 46-year-old is a bit inclined towards taking charge of Arsenal and not Chelsea because he is not a big fan of the Blues’ ‘hire and fire’ policy.

Chelsea are known to change managers at the drop of a hat and Enrique wants to be with a club who will give him time to rebuild rather than wanting instant success.

Arsenal have stuck with Arsene Wenger for a very long time now and Luis Enrique clearly feels that the Gunners might provide him with a lot of opportunities to experiment and shape up the squad.
