Manchester City and Chelsea are both on the lookout to strenghten their squad for the upcoming season – for totally different reasons and one of their main transfer targets might just have gone up for sale.

According to a report from Spanish outlet Diario Gol, Real Madrid have put midfielder Isco up for sale during the summer.

The report claims that Florentino Perez has grown frustrated with the midfielder and is willing to sell him off.

Perez is of the view that Isco has been adding a lot of negative influence into the dressing room and his constant tussle with Zinedine Zidane has put him into the bad books of the manager.

Isco joined Real Madrid from Malaga in 2013 and after a couple of good seasons, the Spanish International has seen his importance diminish in the current year.

Isco has made 24 appearances in the La Liga this season but most of them have been off the bench. This has reportedly not gone down too well with the attacking midfielder and he has made numerous complaints to the manager about the lack of game time.

Now Diario Gol are reporting that Real Madrid want to part ways with the player who is undoubtedly good news for Manchester City and Chelsea.

But there is one small problem.

Isco recently signed a new deal with the Los Blancos in which his release clause is a staggering £617 million.

With four years left on his current contract and such a high release clause, Real Madrid are well and truly in the driver’s seat.

If Manchester City or Chelsea wish to sign the attacking midfielder then they will surely have to shell out an absurd amount of money during the summer.

Theoratically this looks tough but looking at the crazy trends in the transfer market during the past couple of season, nothing seems impossible.
