Everton splurged a lot of cash during the summer transfer window in order to boost their performance during the current season. But the Toffees have suffered a terrible run.

After fighting a brief relegation battle, it seems that Everton’s season is back on track and now multiple reports are claiming that the Merseyside outfit are the favourites to land Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw.

Shaw was publicly hammered by Jose Mourinho after United’s win against Brighton over the weekend and if rumours are to believed then the left-back is not very happy with the treatment that his manager has handed out to him.

After the public rant against Shaw it is quite evident that he will be on his way out of the club at the end of the season and if Paddy Power is to be believed then Everton are the frontrunners to signing Luke Shaw.

Paddy Power have slashed odds on Luke Shaw moving out of Old Trafford during the summer and they have also priced Everton up as 7/2 favourites to sign the left-back.

Paddy Power’s spokesperson said: “It looks as though the Brighton game was the final straw for Shaw.

“There’s only so much mugging off one man can take, and we make Goodison Park his next club of choice. Though a return to Saints is an interesting prospect, too.”

Shaw was criticized by his manager last season too but over the past few months, Jose Mourinho has claimed that his performances had gotten better. The United manager had also claimed that the left-back might stay with United for a long time – hinting at a possible new contract being tabled infront of Shaw.

But now it seems that everything has once again gone downhill.
