In past few days, we are all hearing about Celtic FC’s interest in Angus Gunn the 22-year-old Manchester City player who has been outstanding this season.

For now, he is on a loan and playing for Norwich City FC who currently play in the Championship, the second tier of English football.

Due to his performance in past few months, he has been grabbing a lot of attention for the Premier League side Stoke City and the Scottish giant Celtic FC.

But on the other hand, Norwich don’t want to let go their marquee player.

As Celtic’s 35-year-old goalkeeper Craig Gordon was out of the team for a long period of time due to injury and his increasing age can’t promise a long-term career with the Hoops manager Brendan Rodgers needs to find someone brilliant who can easily fill-up his position.

With Dorus De Vries also at the winter stage of his playing career, Rodgers must find someone right for the team. And the 6ft 4in keeper certainly proves it in all sectors, his outstanding performance, sharp reflexes to pull off crucial saves and dealing with long-balls as well as aerial challenges make him the perfect man for the job.

Celtic must overcome interest from Stoke City and Norwich, who are open to another loan, as well as negotiate a deal with Man City. The Hoops are most likely to sign Angus Gunn for a permanent contract or a long-term loan as they need a shot-stopper who can be a bedrock of the team for the next decade.

As Celtic FC is having one of the most passionate fanbases in Europe, the Hoops have plenty to offer Gunn, but now it is likely to see which club does the keeper choose all over for his future.
