Arsenal signed Alexandre Lacazette from Ligue 1 side Lyon during the summer of 2017 for an initial fee of £46.5 million but now it seems as if Wenger is already making plans to offload him during the summer.

The forward has been sidelined since the early days of February due to an injury but reports claim that the French International will return back to action after the international break.

According to former Gunners forward and Premier League pundit Alan Smith, Arsenal are ready to offload the forward during the summer transfer window.

Smith said: “He may not be the player that Arsenal thought he was,

“He started off well but you can look like a world beater in France and just not make the grade in England.

“Arsenal have a few other players to show that.

“They may even have to offload him if he doesn’t come good.”

Arsenal signed Pierre Emerick Aubameyang during the January transfer window but the former Dortmund man is not eligible to play in the Europa League.

And given how important this competition has become for the London outfit, Wenger will be pinning all his hopes on Alexandre Lacazette for the remainder of the Europa League.

But it seems that from the next season, the Gunners manager would most definitely want Aubameyang to lead the Arsenal attacking line.
