Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has failed to live up to the expectations since his high profile return to Old Trafford from Juventus and now reports are claiming that the Red Devils are all but ready to axe him during the summer.

Pogba has been constantly delivering below average performances in the United midfielder and this has led to him being dropped for a couple of matches during the past month.

Rumours have it that the relationship between the French International and Jose Mourinho has turned sour and the pair are no longer in talking terms.

After United’s embarrassing exit from the Champions League, Jose Mourinho is under immense pressure and he knows that he will have to win atleast one major trophy next season in order to keep his job.

And in a bid to do so, the Portuguese manager is planning to make a series of signings during the summer transfer window.

The Mirror are reporting Manchester United are planning to sell Paul Pogba at the end of the season in order to fund their incoming transfers.

The Old Trafford outfit have eyes on a number of players amongst which Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane and Toni Kroos are undoubtedly the topmost.

Mourinho is a long-term admirer of both Varane and Kroos and wants to bring them on board for the next season.

United are also planning to make a move for Juventus left-back Alex Sandro who is expected to replace Luke Shaw. And in order to bring in these many signings, the Red Devils will need to accumulate a lot of cash.

Paul Pogba has not quite been able to reach his peak form since he came back to United and now it seems that the club’s hierarchy is fed up with his constant failures.
