Tottenham Hotspur are renowned for maintaining very stringent wage structures but now it seems that Daniel Levy is ready to make an exception.

According to reports coming out of London, the Lilywhites are set to offer a new contract to their manager Mauricio Pochettino which should he chooses to accept will make him one of the highest paid manager in the Premier League.

While the details of the contract have not yet been revealed but multiple sources have claimed that the terms of the new contract are very lucrative and the wages structure in it are amongst the best in England.

Pochettino took charge of Tottenham Hotspur in 2014 and since then the Argentine has transformed the face of the London club.

Daniel Levy has realized that Pochettino is the man who can take the club to Premier League and European glory and the Spurs chief is willing to take do whatever it takes to keep him at the club.

Reports from Spain have claimed that Real Madrid are interested in making Mauricio Pochettino their new manager at the end of the season.

The Los Blancos have had a disastrous La Liga campaign under Zinedine Zidane and if the French manager is unable to bring the Champions League, then surely he will be shone the door at the end of the season.

Spurs have understood that Real Madrid’s interest in their manager is very strong and Daniel Levy is trying to making sure that Pochettino is not influenced in switching loyalties.

Pochettino has had a wonderful couple of seasons with the Lilywhites but the only blemish on his managerial portfolio is the fact that he has not managed to win a single honour during his time in London.

The Argentine manager knows very well that if he joins Real Madrid then he will have a much better chance of winning trophies given the amount of money the club pumps into player transfers every year.
