Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain moved to Liverpool from Arsenal last August for a transfer fee of £35 million and after enduring a tough couple of months, the English International has finally adapted to live at Anfield.

The Ox was one of the key figures who helped Liverpool overcome the Manchester City challenge in the Champions League quarter-finals and now he is hoping that his contributions can once again help the Reds reach the finals.

And for the first time since joining the Anfield outfit, Chamberlain has opened up about life at the club and why he likes playing for Liverpool over Arsenal.

Speaking to Liverpool FC’s official website, the midfielder said: “Even when we were doing our walk today before the game, the buzz around the city at the moment is amazing.

“As a player, you can’t thank people enough for that, they are the moments you dream of as a young lad.

“To play for a club like Liverpool that has support like this and to see the appreciation from the fans, it just makes me want to go on the pitch and every time we can keep making them happy.

“I love it. It’s not hard to go and enjoy it when you go out there and you hear the fans singing,” Oxlade-Chamberlain added.

“Again today was amazing. It’s not hard to enjoy your football here, really.

“It helps when your form’s going well and when the results are going for us like they are at the moment.

“We’re in a good spell at the moment, it’s really enjoyable, but we need to keep focused and I need to keep focused to keep performing at this level and improve to help the team move forward.”

Since joining Liverpool, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has played 39 games in all competitions scoring 5 goals. And out of these 5 goals, 2 of them have come in the Champions League.

Jurgen Klopp’s men next take on West Brom away from home this weekend after which they welcome Roma in midweek for the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals.
