Arsenal take on West Ham United on Sunday after which they play host to Atletico Madrid in midweek in the first leg of the Europa League semi-finals. And before the games, Arsene Wenger has received some good news from his medical staff.

Midfielders Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey are both set to return to full training ahead of the clash against the Hammers on the weekend.

Ramsey and Wilshere both sustained injuries during the Europa League quarter-finals clash against CSKA Moscow and were absentees during the Newcastle game last weekend.

But if reports are to believed then the midfielders should be available to take on West Ham.

Ramsey suffered a large gash on his shin while Jack was injured his right ankle.

Arsene Wenger though will definitely have one eye on the Europa League clash against Atletico meaning that both Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere might not feature in the starting line-up versus the Hammers.

At best they will be tucked onto the substitutes bench and will only be brought on it needed.

Arsenal are currently 14 points adrift the fourth spot on the Premier League table having played one game less than Spurs who occupy the fourth place. And in reality, winning the Europa League is the best chance that Arsene Wenger’s men have of getting back into the Champions League.

In other news, David Ospina has also recovered from his sprained ankle and in contention of playing against Atletico Madrid after the Gunners manager claimed that both his goalkeeper are in contention to start next Thursday.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan who also suffered an injury during the CSKA Moscow game is likely to return back to full fitness towards the end of April meaning the Armenian might very well feature in the second leg of the Europa League semi-finals.
