Tottenham Hotspur brought in Lucas Moura during the January transfer window but now it seems Mauricio Pochettino is already planning to sign a back up to the Brazilian.

According to reports coming out of England, the Lilywhites manager is planning to make a move for Leicester City winger Demarai Gray.

Gray joined Leicester City from Birmingham for a transfer fee of £3.7 million in January of 2016 and since then the England U21 international has played 91 games for the Foxes.

Despite captaining the English U21 side, Gray has failed to receive a senior team call-up from manager Gareth Southgate and many believe that it is the winger’s inability to break into the Foxes first team which has hampered his chances for playing under Southgate.

And this inconsistency has made Demarai Gray ponder over his future at the club and if reports are to believed then the 21-year-old is willing to listen to offers at the end of the season.

The winger has played 18 games for the England U21’s scoring 6 goals.

Pochettino’s interest in Gray is not new as the Argentine had tried signing him last summer but after Lucas Moura came onboard at the start of the new year, everyone thought that the London outfit will cool off their interest in the Foxes winger.

But Moura’s inability to cope up with life in England has led the Spurs manager to reignite his interest in Demarai Gray.

The winger signed a contract extension with Leicester City in November of 2017 and his current deal will expire in 2021.

According to TransferMarkt, Gray is valued at 15 million euros but given the amount of money that has been flowing around, the Foxes will surely not take a penny less than 30 million if the 21-year-old does indeed want to leave at the end of the season.
