Will Pochettino leave Spurs at the end of the season after the FA Cup defeat to Man United?

Tottenham Hotspur threw away a one-goal lead in the FA Cup semi-finals against Manchester United on Saturday and ended up losing the match 2-1. And in the process, the Lilywhites lost their chance of winning their first silverware since 2008.

Spurs took the lead early on in the first half thanks to Dele Alli but Jose Mourinho’s men fought back and equalised through an Alexis Sanchez header. And in the second half, it was midfielder Ander Herrera who scored the winning goal for Manchester United.

After yet another FA Cup semi-final loss, a lot of doubts have emerged over Spurs’ appetite for silverware and also Mauricio Pochettino’s long-term future at the club.

And the Argentine did give a sneak peak about his future plans and hinted that he might not stay with the London outfit for a very long time – if the current situations do not improve.

Pochettino said: “Tottenham need more time, of course with me or with another, but I think it’s so important to keep going, focusing on working and developing that philosophy that is fantastic for the club,

“Of course we are in a process to arrive at the semi-final and be competitive in the Champions League and be competitive in the Premier League, fighting for the top four,

“I think it’s not enough because everyone feels that we are close, we are close, we are close, but it’s still nearly, no? Nearly to touch.”

After the defeat, a lot of people have come out and supported Mauricio Pochettino claiming that the manager had done brilliantly with the resources that have been provided to him over the past couple of season.

And these same group of people have pointed fingers at Daniel Levy for failing to make big money signing which is desperately needed if Spurs want to win any kind of silverware.

With Real Madrid waiting eagerly for Mauricio Pochettino it is time for the Spurs management to go out and splurge some much-needed cash in the transfer market.
