Arsenal hammered West Ham United at the Emirates on Sunday and after the match, Arsene Wenger had a thing or two to say about his club’s supporters.

Arsenal won the match 4-1 but there’s no doubt that the Gunners had a bit of a scare during the match when the Hammers levelled the match at 1-1.

But Aaron Ramsey and Alexandre Lacazette built on a Nacho Monreal goal to seal all the three points.

With the win, Arsenal have now gathered 57 points and are 11 points off the top four spot on the Premier League table.

Arsene Wenger announced on Friday that he would be stepping down from his position at the end of the season and after the 4-1 win against the Hammers the manager fired shots at the clubs fans for the lack of unity.

Wenger said: “I was not tired. I believe that this club is respected all over the world, much more than in England.

“Our fans didn’t give the image of unity I want at the club. That was hurtful.”

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson took up a directorial post at Old Trafford once he retired as manager but Wenger, on the other hand, is severing all ties with Arsenal.

The Arsenal manager was also quizzed about his non-involvement with the club’s activities to which he replied: “Ferguson it was different. He’s still at the club. He stayed at Manchester United.

“Honestly, I cannot tell you much more, I don’t want you to come back to me in six months and say ‘you lied to us’. I know I did that a few times.”

Arsene Wenger has refused to comment about his future role with Arsenal hinting at the fact that he is still eager to manage at the highest level with some other club and can take up a new challenge during the summer.
