When Mo Salah joined Liverpool from AS Roma last summer everyone thought that Egyptian was getting a second chance to succeed in the Premier League after his failed stint with Chelsea a couple of years back. Fast forward, 8 months and the forward is now a serious contender for the Ballon d’Or.

While Liverpool fans are over the moon with Mo Salah’s performance, Chelsea fans are fuming and they do not let a single day pass by without cursing Jose Mourinho who was the man-in-charge when the Blues decided to sell Salah.

And now Chelsea playmaker Cesc Fabregas has claimed that Salah’s talent was visible to everyone when he first arrived at Stamford Bridge from FC Basel in 2014.

Fabregas told Spanish radio station Cadena COPE: I crossed paths with Salah in my first season at Chelsea before he left for Fiorentina,

He was young, he hardly played, but you could already see that he had talent.

“He always worked very hard and he gave his all.”

Salah has been an inspiration for Liverpool and him along with Firmino and Sadio Mane are currently one of the best-attacking trios in European football.

The Egyptian has played 47 games for the Reds in all competitions and has managed to score a mind-bending 43 goals.

But Jose Mourinho recently hit back at his critics claiming that he was not the one who sanctioned the sale of Mo Salah.

The current United boss revealed that when the forward at the shores of London he was not physically and mentally ready to play in the Premier League.

Jose also went onto add that rather than people criticising him, they should praise him because he was the one who actually bought Mo Salah from FC Basel.
