Liverpool were held to a goalless draw by Stoke City on Saturday at Anfield but it seems the loss of points is not the only setback that Jurgen Klopp has suffered.
According to reports, Mo Salah could potentially face a three-man ban meaning he would be ineligible to play the remaining of two Premier League games for Liverpool.
Salah was caught on camera throwing his arm at Stoke City defender Bruno Martins Indi right before halftime.
And the incident was not spotted on the field by referee Andre Marriner.
But soon this piece of footage became viral on social media and now the FA have launched an investigation on the said incident.
FA disciplinary bosses are reportedly expected to refer Salah’s clash to a three-man panel of ex-referees to find out if it was a red-card offence.
If the panel decides unanimously that the offence was bookable then Mo Salah will not be featuring for the Reds until the end of the Premier League season.
This, in turn, is good news for Tottenham Hotspur Harry Kane who is five goals behind Salah in the Golden Boot race.
If the Egyptian does not play Liverpool’s remaining games then Kane will get a chance to claw down the difference in goals between him and Salah.
The potential ban of Salah will not only help Spurs but also Chelsea who are set to host Liverpool next weekend in the Premier League.
Chelsea are four points away from the top four spot on the league table(when this article was published) and if Mo Salah does not feature against them at Stamford Bridge next Sunday then Conte’s men will have one less thing to worry about.
