Both Arsenal and Liverpool have been heavily linked with Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez and multiple reports have been claiming that the Premier League winner is set to leave the Foxes by the end of this month.

Liverpool are reportedly eyeing Mahrez as a replacement to Philippe Coutinho who left for Barcelona a couple of days back. While Arsenal are also on the verge of losing Alexis Sanchez to Manchester City and Wenger wants Riyad Mahrez to be the man to fill in that void.

But now according to Algerian publication Le Buteur, it seems that Arsenal are the only club that are interested in signing Riyad Mahrez during the summer transfer window.

Le Buteur have been quite reliable with their news on Mahrez in the past and now the report is claiming that they’ve spoken to a relative of the Leicester star about his likely next move.

Le Buteur claim that Arsenal are “very interested” in signing Riyad Mahrez and Arsene Wenger has seemingly made the Algerian international his top priority in January.

On the other hand, rumours linking Riyad Mahrez to Liverpool is “nonsense” as per the publication and the Reds have not made any sort of contact with Leicester City over the transfer of Mahrez.
