Former Manchester United greats paid tribute to ex-Celtic FC midfielder

David Beckham and Wayne Rooney led tributes on social media to their ex-college Liam Miller.

The former Celtic FC midfielder who died due to cancer on 9th February had also played for Manchester United in the 2005-2006 season.

Beckham showed his respect on his Instagram account by posting a picture of Miller with a status of “Our thoughts are with Liam’s family .. Rest In Peace ”

While Rooney tweeted about the former Celtic FC and Man United midfielder: “Gutted to hear the sad news about Liam Miller. Thoughts are with his family and friends”

Rio Ferdinand mentioned the death of his former friend is ‘tragic’.

Manchester United’s current leader Michael Carrick too remembered being with him when he joined the club on 2006.

Manchester United also showed their sadness on Twitter and wore black armbands during their defeat at St James Park against Newcastle United.

Eventually, Celtic FC have also shown respect to their ex-employee by wearing black armbands and having a minute’s silence at Celtic Park during their win against Partick.

Celtic FC arch-rivals Rangers also tweeted on the sad news of Liam Miller.

Leeds United also wore black armbands during their match to show respect.

Ireland’s President Mr. Michael D. Higgins shared his personal feelings on Twitter.

The Football Association Of Ireland have also given tribute to the player.
