David Beckham and Wayne Rooney led tributes on social media to their ex-college Liam Miller.
The former Celtic FC midfielder who died due to cancer on 9th February had also played for Manchester United in the 2005-2006 season.
Beckham showed his respect on his Instagram account by posting a picture of Miller with a status of “Our thoughts are with Liam’s family .. Rest In Peace ”
While Rooney tweeted about the former Celtic FC and Man United midfielder: “Gutted to hear the sad news about Liam Miller. Thoughts are with his family and friends”

Manchester United also showed their sadness on Twitter and wore black armbands during their defeat at St James Park against Newcastle United.
