Arsenal make a short trip to the London Stadium in order to take on David Moyes’ West Ham United. The Hammers are in fine spirits after their 1-0 win against Chelsea on Saturday and Arsenal, on the other hand, had yet another disappointing result.

The Gunners managed to salvage a single point vs Southampton during the weekend and thanks to a late Olivier Giroud goal the match ended 1-1. Arsenal are currently in 5th spot on the league table with just 29 points and they are more close to the bottom of the table than towards to the top – in terms of points.

Wenger is expected to make a series of changes to his starting XI against West Ham because if the results don’t start churning in for the Gunners then they might once again miss out on that elusive Champions League spot.

TEAM NEWS:

The first big change of the match will most definitely be in the defensive line-up as Mertesacker will be rested as Rob Holding is expected to return to the starting line-up. Aaron Ramsey might also find himself on the bench as Jack Wilshere will get that much-deserved start in midfield alongside Swiss International Granit Xhaka.

Alexandre Lacazette will be replaced in the forward line as the weekend’s goalscorer for Arsenal – Olivier Giroud will come into the starting XI as he will be assisted by Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil from either flank.
