Chelsea take on Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday in their first Premier League game of the new year.

The Blues are currently 3rd on the league table – 2 points behind Manchester United. But Conte’s men do have a game in hand meaning that if they can beat Arsenal at the Emirates then they will move to the 2nd spot on the table.

Chelsea are going through a rich vein of form after a few hiccups early on in the season. The Blues are unbeaten in their last 5 Premier League games – winning 4 and drawing 1. And Conte will be hoping to pick up all three points against Arsene Wenger’s men.

CHELSEA TEAM NEWS:

Going into the game against Arsenal, Chelsea have only two injury concerns – David Luiz and Charly Musonda. David Luiz is nursing a knee injury but is expected to make a comeback by the end of this week. Charly Musonda too is unavailable for the Arsenal clash due to an injury.

Eden Hazard was rested for the game against Stoke City and will surely return back to the starting XI against Arsenal.

Antonio Conte will make a slight tweak in his formation and will hopefully field a 3-5-2 formation rather than a 3-4-3 formation. The Italian will surely play with three midfielders – Kante, Bakayoko and Fabregas. And Eden Hazard and Alvaro Morata will play up front.

CHELSEA’S PREDICTED LINE-UP:

Goalkeeper: Courtois

Defence: Rudiger, Christensen, Azpilicueta

Midfield: Alonso, Kante, Bakayoko, Fabregas

Attack: Hazard, Morata
