After Alexis Sanchez’s last minute move to Manchester City collapsed on Thursday there were a few reports claiming that the Chilean was very confident about his move to Man City and that he had even told his national teammates about the transfer.

Arsenal looked all set to let Sanchez join Pep Guardiola’s side but then the Londoners took a U-turn during the final hours of the transfer window. This was mainly due to the fact that Sanchez’s soon to be replacement Thomas Lemar had refused to move to Arsenal. This meant that the Gunners had virtually no time find another replacement as a result of which they held on to Alexis Sanchez.

This had shattered Alexis Sanchez’s dream move to City and Sanchez has even threatened to go on a strike.

But now according to the latest report, Sanchez’s Chilean teammate Arturo Vidal has come out to say that the news was all ‘made up’ and he said nothing about his move to Man City.

Vidal said, “To whom? No, no, to nobody. Not to me. I don’t think so,’ Vidal said.

“I think it was all made up because he was very focused on today’s game.”

Sanchez has entered his final year of his contract and he has refused to sign a new one, meaning that the Gunners will have to let him go for free next summer. But Man City are not going to wait that long as many reports claim that Guardiola is going to return in January with a new bid.
