Alvaro Morata was quoted saying that he loved his life at Juventus and would like to go back to Italy.

According to a report in an Italian newspaper, Morata said, “There were contractual agreements to respect. The disappointment was huge: I went right back to the start.

“They treated me like the kid I was before the two seasons in Italy.

“I arrived [in Italy] feeling like a boy and I returned feeling like a true player. I should never have left Italy and Juve.

“I really miss Italy. My wife would like to live in Spain; I’d like to live in Italy.”

He also said that he does not like the hustle and bustle of London and would want to move out of the city.

As soon as these comments came into the light it created a wave of arguments amongst the Chelsea fans. But now Morata has swiftly come out to defend his statement as a “communication problem.”

In his defence, Morata said, “Probably we have a communication problem with this interview. All I said was I was very happy at Juventus,

“In the interview, I wanted to say probably after my career I don’t live in London. But I’m really happy in London.

“I really like London now, but probably in the future when I want to bring my children to school I prefer to go back to my country.

“I’m talking only about the traffic & lots of people. But it’s a great city… I really enjoy London.”
