Alvaro Morata’s partner to cost €110 million?

Chelsea signed Alvaro Morata during the summer from Real Madrid but the Chelsea management are still on the lookout for an ideal partner to the Spaniard. Conte does have Michy Batshuayi at his disposal but the Italian does not have too much faith in him. So news has it that the Blues are looking for another striker.

And as per the latest report, Chelsea have their eyes set on Inter Milan’s Mauro Icardi. The Argentine striker has just agreed to a new contract with the Serie A giants and the release clause in the new deal is rumoured to be €110 million.

Icardi is managed by his wife Wanda Nara who claimed in a recent interview that a lot of teams have been chasing his husband and client.

Nara said, “Mauro is an important player and these are top clubs that have followed him for some time. It’s not that a forward like him, one of the more important number nines in the world, has big team interested in him and value him for what he is. It must please both him and Inter.

“I’d rather not say who has phoned me. I’m the one who talks about these things, while Mauro thinks about Inter and is happy to be here. The board know he’s rejected clubs that other players wouldn’t have turned down because his heart belongs to Inter.

“I won’t deny, however, that there are a lot of teams interested in him. Far more than just the names circulating.”

Icardi joined Inter during the 2013-14 campaign from Sampdoria and since then the 24-year-old has made 160 appearances – scoring 93 goals.
