The protests against Arsene Wenger are growing louder with each passing game. Earlier this week a few of the Gunners supporters showed up in front of the club’s training ground with banners and chants of ‘Wenger Out’

This incident comes days after Arsenal’s dismal performance against Manchester City. The fans came in with banners and one of them even wore an Alexis Sanchez mask. A section of the Arsenal fans are unhappy with the fact that Wenger is still allowed to carry on. They feel that Wenger has lost the appetite needed to compete at the top level.

The fans wanted Wenger to leave the club respectfully in the summer. But contradicting that, Wenger has said he is going nowhere and will remain with the club. And to add fuel to the fire, news is afloat that the management will be providing a contract extension to the Frenchman in the summer. This has angered the fans even more and the protests have just grown. The fans even flew a banner over the Hawthorns asking Wenger to leave during Arsenal’s loss 3-1 to West Brom.

Wenger has ridiculed the whole incident though saying that the three guys who were protesting outside the training ground were just wasting their time. But if Arsenal carry on with such underrated performances then the protests are expected to grow much fiercer.

Arsenal are now winless in three matches and their top four dream looks in serious doubt. They are seven points behind fourth-placed Manchester City and play West Ham in midweek. If Wenger’s men do not finish fourth then this will be the first time that they would have failed to qualify for the Champions League since 1996.
