A few months back we came up with an article where we took the liberty of saying that Arsenal’s Sead Kolasinac might just be the transfer of the season. As soon as we put up this article a string of fans messaged us stating how we were wrong and the likes of Lukaku or Morata were the best deals of the summer. So after Arsenal’s win against Swansea – thanks mainly to a fine performance from the Bosnian we decided to bring back this debate once again.

When Arsene Wenger was making his team selection for the Swansea game, he knew exactly what was coming his way. He knew that Swansea would come to the Emirates and sit back deep. He knew that Paul Clement will structure his side in such a way that they will be ready to soak up pressure through the middle of the pitch. And he also knew the solution to these problems. What Wenger needed was a good 90 minutes from his two wing-backs. And trust us, one of them did not disappoint.

The Bosnian powerhouse was easily the best man on the pitch for the Gunners and his link-up play with Sanchez was brilliant. His running down the flanks was so efficient that it gave Sanchez the liberty to drift inside. Kolasinac was also on the end of every squared ball that Granit Xhaka hit in order to switch play. And he capped off his night with a brilliant goal and a pinpoint cut-back assist.

We know what the likes of Lukaku and Morata bring to the table. But what you have to realize that whatever they produce something great it always has a price tag attached to it. Whereas Kolasinac came on a free transfer. So anything and everything that he does will be an added bonus for Arsenal and Wenger.

Still, think Morata or Lukaku are better deals? Tell us.
