Arsene Wenger’s summer woes continue as he is set to miss out on this 20-year-old Frenchman

We doubt that there has been a single moment during this transfer window that Wenger has managed to sit down comfortably in his chair.

On one hand, he has to go out and claim that Sanchez is going nowhere at every press conference. And on the other hand, he is finding it really difficult to get his hands on his potential targets.

His first big target of the summer, Thomas Lemar, has been evading him for months now as Monaco just refuse to sell him off owing to the fact that the French club have already lost out on a large chunk of their first-team players.

And now if reports are to believed then Wenger is all set to miss out on yet another target. News has been coming out of France that Barcelona have agreed to personal terms with Borussia Dortmund’s Ousmane Dembele. Barcelona have received £199 million from PSG after they triggered Neymar’s release clause and the Catalan giants are willing to spend a large chunk of that on Dembele – as a potential replacement for Neymar.

Barcelona have agreed to pay £90 million to Dortmund for the services of the 20-year-old – a player on whom Wenger had a keen eye for quite some time. As soon as this news came out it was met with a few groans of discomfort in London where the fans believed that Arsenal have missed out on yet another quality player. And it is also highly unlikely the Wenger will go out and match or better the offer from Barcelona.
