Barcelona are preparing to make a bid for Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann next summer.
According to a report in Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are lining up a €100 million bid for the French International. And as per the news, the Catalan giants have already set the ball rolling as far as the transfer is concerned and the news of Barcelona’s interest has reached Griezmann. If the report is to be belived then Griezmann has also shown a keen interest in joining Ernesto Valverde’s side. But we are not sure if Atletico Madrid will be ready to sell one of their star players to a league rival.
This bit of news comes as a huge blow for Manchester United who for the longest time have been the front runners in signing up the player. Jose Mourinho also went pretty close to getting his man this summer but a transfer ban on Atletico prevented the move from happening. But everyone in the footballing circuit was pretty sure that United will get their man once the current season comes to an end.
But now the entry of Barcelona turns the whole system upside down and Manchester United are sure to face some tough competition from the Catalans.
