Bayern Munich takes on take Borussia Dortmund in a high profile Bundesliga encounter this weekend at the Allianz Arena. Both the teams will definitely like to win this tie but in all honesty, they will have one eye on their respective Champions League encounters.

But make no mistake, both this will definitely go all out to win the match. After all, this is a derby. And bragging rights are at stake. But looking at the larger picture, the game does not hold much importance in terms of the end results.

The league leaders Bayern are 10 points clear their nearest rivals, Leipzig. While Dortmund who are in the fourth position are also ten points better of that fifth-place FC Koln. Both of them are very much comfortable in their respective positions. Bayern are all set to win the league. And Dortmund have more or less secured their Champions League berth for next season. Unless something catastrophic happens.

Thomas Tuchel has one of the best young squads in Europe and he will definitely like to test it against Bayern. Tuchel will be missing Durm and Schurrle with their respective injuries. Reus is not match fit as of yet while Gotze is a long-term absentee with a metabolic illness.

Ancelotti will more likely go for a more tried and tested lineup. But both Neuer and Muller will be missing from action. Neuer has a foot injury while Muller is out with an ankle injury. Douglas Costa is also nursing an injury and will be unavailable.

Lewandowski claimed that he was fit and ready to face Dortmund.
