According to a report in Sporx, Turkish club Besiktas are eyeing a move for Manchester City midfielder Fernando.

Besiktas manager Senol Gunes feels that the Brazilian will be a perfect addition to the squad, and is willing to bring him in on a season-long loan.

Manchester City, on the other hand, have been heavily linked with Monaco midfielder Fabinho. And if that deal eventually goes through then Guardiola should not have any hesitation in letting Fernando move to Turkey.

Fernando moved to Manchester City from Porto in 2014, but since his £12 million move, the Brazilian has failed to make any sort of impact on the team. In the previous season, the 29-year-old played just 26 games, failing to score even once. While Fabinho scored 11 times for Monaco.

But Fernando’s loan move will totally depend on whether City are able to sign Fabinho or not.

The Football Fan Base view:

Guardiola is trying really hard to bring in Fabinho but until the deal is secured the City boss will hold on to Fernando.
