If there was a list of teams who are currently having a bad time in the transfer market we are pretty sure that Chelsea’s name would be on it. They have been able to make a couple of signings, yes. But the area which needed the biggest restructuring had to be patched up in a very hasty way.

Conte told Diego Costa that he could leave Chelsea in the summer meaning that the Blues had to sign a new striker. And it was somehow always going to be Romelu Lukaku. But then as fate would have it, Manchester United managed to snatch the Belgian from right under Chelsea’s noses. And the London outfit had to quickly shift their focus to Alvaro Morata and sign him up for £70 million.

Now as the dust has finally settled it looked like everyone was safely tucked into their respective clubs and all was well. But now Antonio Conte has come out and made a statement that is sure to send a bit of doubt in the heart and mind of Alvaro Morata.

Chelsea are currently on their pre-season tour in Singapore and there he made a comment that if he had the chance then he would have bought Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane as he feels the English International is the complete striker.

“For me, Kane, now, is one of the best strikers in the world.”, Conte said

“If I had to buy one striker I would go to Kane. He is a complete striker.”

“He is strong physically, with the ball, without the ball, he fights and he is strong in the air and acrobatic on the right and the left.”

The Spurs fans will have a wide grin on their fans simply because their best player has been showered with such praises, and that too from a London rival’s manager. But the Chelsea fans might just be a bit displeased with the fact that their manager is boosting the morale of a local rival.

But the biggest impact of this statement will certainly fall upon Alvaro Morata who will definitely feel a bit disheartened with these comments.
