Manchester United have been chasing Welshman, Gareth Bale for quite some time now and their manager Jose Mourinho has even gone on to claim that he will fight other coaches in order to sign the player. Now it looks as if Mourinho has already got his first contender in the ring in the form of Antonio Conte as Chelsea seem to have entered the race in signing Gareth Bale from Real Madrid.

According to a report, Florentino Perez is willing to do business on the Welshman for around £90million in order to fund a move for Monaco’s teen sensation Kylian Mbappe.

Bale has repeatedly made known of his desire to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu and fight for his place but the arrival of Mbappe could certainly tilt his opinion. With Karim Benzema likely to be offered a new contract, Bale is likely to be the one sacrificed to sign the teenager.

The 28-year-old has been in and out of the team since joining 4 years ago. Injuries have always troubled the winger but despite all of that it is safe to say that Bale has had an extremely successful stint at Madrid.

Having scored 67 times in 150 appearances and winning 3 Champions league titles as well as one La Liga crown, the pacy winger has surely accomplished a lot. Although he might still on occasions miss being the star man of the team like he was back in England.

Antonio Conte is known to be an admirer of the former Spurs man and signing him will definitely strengthen his side. With Eden Hazard set to miss the start of the season, Bale can provide the much-needed impetus going forward.

The Premier League champions have the financial muscle to better any offer tabled by the Red Devil’s in order to orchestrate a move for the left-footer.

Roman Abramovich has already done business with Real this summer breaking Chelsea’s all time transfer record in signing Alvaro Morata.

Real broke the transfer record when they signed Bale from Tottenham Hotspur four years ago for £85.3m smashing their own record of £80m to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United.

The Football Fanbase View:

Gareth Bale will add immensely to Chelsea in terms of quality and goals. In a season where the other title rivals have strengthened immensely, signing him will make Chelsea a stronger force to reckon with especially with main goal scorer Diego Costa on his way out. Bale is proven in the Premier League and that will be extremely vital as he can hit the ground running. Although there will be concerns about his injury history of late, there is no denying that when fit, he is extremely dangerous and one of the best at what he does. Just ask Marc Bartra and he will say the same.
