Edinson Cavani clashed with Neymar over the taking of penalty during PSG’s 2-0 win over Lyon during the weekend and ever since that incident various reports are claiming that the Paris outfit are willing to offload the Cavani in January.
According to various sources, PSG are going to offer the Uruguayan International to Real Madrid but clubs like Chelsea, Everton and Napoli are all interested are signing up the player.
PSG have already splashed a large amount of money on the transfer market this summer with the acquisition of Neymar and Mbappe and they will have to sell a host of players in January if they are to avoid an FFP violation. The likes of Lucas Moura, Angel Di Maria and Julian Draxler have all been lined up for the January sale and many feel that Edinson Cavani could very well be part of the squad.
Chelsea and Everton have both shown an eager interest in the player as they look to reinforce their forward line. Cavani, 30, currently receives around £120,000-per-week from PSG and this wage bracket will perfectly suit both Chelsea as well as Everton.
But if Real Madrid show any sort of interest in the player – which we think they will, then Cavani will be jet-setting to Spain during the new year.
