Chelsea and Antonio Conte are desperate to bring in a striking partner for Alvaro Morata as soon as possible and in a bid to do so it looks as if the Blues have set their eyes on Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann.

The Chelsea boss knows very well that he is desperately short of striking options as Alvaro Morata and Michy Batshuayi are his only two recognized strikers. And now with Alvaro Morata seemingly out for almost a month, the Blues will be feeling the pinch. Even though the London outfit do not have any immediate solution to this crisis but Conte wants to add another striker to his squad as soon as possible.

Chelsea have already sold their outcast striker Diego Costa back to Atletico Madrid and they know very well that the Spanish outfit will be looking to sell a few players next summer in order to gather some much-required funds for Costa’s £58 million transfer fee. Now the defending Premier League Champions want to play on this weakness of Atletico and try and sign Griezmann.

But wrapping up the deal will be much easier said than done as Manchester United have been the frontrunners in signing Griezmann for quite a while now. And add to it the fact that Wenger has also shown an interest in bringing the player to the Emirates, it becomes quite an uphill task for Antonio Conte and the Chelsea board.
