Antonio Conte is currently on a spending spree in the transfer market. The Italian has just signed Alvaro Morata for £70 million and he still wants to add a bit more depth to his frontline. And that is the reason why the Chelsea boss is out in the market for another striker.
Many reports have been doing the rounds linking various players with the West London outfit. And the latest one is Swansea’s Fernando Llorente. Reportedly, Chelsea are willing to pay Swansea somewhere in the region of £15 million for the Spaniard, but the Swans are demanding almost double of what Chelsea have offered.
Chelsea had made two bids for the 32-year-old in January but both of those were rejected by Swansea. The club was not interested in selling their striker at that point of time simply cause they were involved in a relegation battle. And now when Chelsea have come back to Swansea enquiring about the player, Swansea have put quite an unrealistic quote on the table.

Swansea are quoting £30 million for a player who is 32-years-old. Yes, he was Swansea’s top goal scorer last season with 15 goals but Chelsea under no circumstances will be willing to pay such a high price for a player who is well past his prime.
And to add to it, Llorente will mostly play second fiddle to Alvaro Morata, so paying £30 million for a backup striker looks a bit too desperate.
