Chelsea have joined the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool in the hunt of Monaco star Thomas Lemar – according to reports.

Lemar was subject to some strong transfer market interest during the summer as clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and Barcelona all actively went after the 22-year-old. But it was Arsenal who were the favourites to land the player and had submitted multiple bids in order to bring him to London. But Monaco somehow resisted the move and the deal eventually fell through during the final few hours on deadline day.

Now as per French outlet, L’Equipe, Chelsea are said to be readying a January bid for Thomas Lemar with the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool still interested in the player. It is being said the Arsenal are well as Liverpool are also planning to make bids for the Frenchman during the winter transfer window.

Chelsea’s sudden spike in interest for the player might not be a flash in the pan as the Blues know very well that the likes of Eden Hazard and Willian could very well move out of the club at the end of the campaign. And Lemar will serve as a perfect alternative since he can comfortably play on both the wings.
