Schalke 04 midfielder Leon Goretzka is more or less certain that he will move out of Germany at the end of the season and it looks as if the Premier League can be his next possible destination. Clubs like Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus are all reportedly interested in signing the 22-year-old but Goretzka seems to have his heart set on a move to England.

According to a report, both Chelsea and Liverpool have leapfrogged over the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur and are now favourites to sign the German International.

The likes of Arsenal and Bayern Munich have long been in the chase of the youngster but Chelsea seem to be the new entrant to the queue.

Olivier Bierhoff also suggested that the 22-year-old might just be heading to England in the summer rather than join Barcelona or Real Madrid.

While speaking ahead of Germany’s friendly with England, Bierhoff said, “We feel that England, because of the amount of money you have with TV rights, young talented players like Leroy Sane and [Schalke’s] Leon Goretzka are moving to England [or to another country] and this is not good for our league but also for the quality of our game.

“We have to pay attention and invest again and again in the education of our coaches.”
