Chelsea and Manchester City are set to battle it out with Bayern Munich for the signature of Ajax youngster Frenkie de Jong if reports are to be believed.

News is coming out of the Netherlands that the two Premier League giants are seriously interested in signing the 20-year-old are ready to battle it out with Bundesliga side Bayern Munich.

The Sun reported earlier this month that Manchester City were closely watching the youngster and now it seems as if the interest has just grown stronger. But these three clubs are not the only ones who want De Jong as RB Leipzig and Hamburg are also hot on the tail of the player.

Frenkie joined Ajax back in 2015 from Willem II and won the Talent of the Season award for the 2016-17 season. The 20-year-old has also represented the Netherlands in the U-21 competition and has made 15 senior appearances for the Ajax senior side.
