Both Chelsea and Manchester United have seemingly shown interest in signing Saul Niguez for Atletico Madrid.

The 22-year-old signed a new deal this summer and his current buyout clause stands at £134 million – which basically means that Atletico boss Diego Simeone is not too keen on letting his midfielder move out of the Wanda Metropolitano. But that though means nothing as both Chelsea and Manchester United are lining up multi-million-pound bids for Niguez.

According to the Daily Star, Chelsea are willing to spend as much as £70 million for the player as Conte really wants to strengthen his midfield. The Italian has signed Tiemoue Bakayoko during the summer but he still feels that his squad lacks the depth.

And on the other hand, Don Balon is claiming that Manchester United are also planning a move for Niguez and their bargain is a bit different from that of the Blues. As per the news, Man Utd are willing to offer both Ander Herrera and Juan Mata in a swap deal for Saul Niguez. Both Mata and Herrera are yet to agree on new terms and it looks as if Mourinho is ready to offload them in order to get Niguez.

But the transfer to either of these clubs will totally depend on Diego Simeone and whether he wishes to let go of the 22-year-old.
