Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has rubbished all the transfer rumours surrounding both Eden Hazard and David Luiz.

Recent reports have suggested that Jose Mourinho has shown an eagerness to sign Eden Hazard from Chelsea amidst strong interest from Real Madrid while David Luiz has been on the transfer wishlist of clubs like Arsenal and Newcastle United. It was also being said that Luiz recently offered himself to Barcelona while he was on a medical trip to Spain.

But now the Chelsea boss has said that such rumours are part and parcel of a typical transfer window and he has urged his players not to pay too much attention to them.

“A difficult period is starting, for every club and every coach, because in this period there are a lot of rumours. Some rumours are true, some are wrong,” he said while speaking at a pre-match press conference before the Everton game.

“We must be ready to face this situation. I think the best way for me is to not read it and only to chat with the club and then to try to improve our squad if this is possible.

“We must be ready to face these rumours, but at the same time, we must be ready to focus and to go game by game because we have to play every three days and I think it’s not right to let these rumours disturb us.

“We have to live with these rumours. My players are clever (enough) to go game by game not listen to these rumours – and a lot of them aren’t true.”

But one big statement that he made was, ‘Some rumours are true, some are wrong’ which clearly states that some of the players could well be on their way out of Stamford Bridge. Apart from Hazard and Luiz, a string of other players have been subject to exit rumours during the past month or so. While Willian has interested Jose Mourinho, Batshuayi, on the other hand, wants to move out on a loan deal in order to get some much-needed game time. Even youngster Kenedy is being pursued by Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez.
