Chelsea planning multiple January bids in order to please Antonio Conte: What it means for the other teams?

Seems like Antonio Conte is not particularly happy with his life at Stamford Bridge. Firstly he has been feeling homesick for quite a while now and add to that the fact he was not at all happy with the club’s business during the summer.

The Blues failed to secure multiple transfer targets as most of them opted to join some direct rivals. Now with Alvaro Morata out of action for a couple of weeks, the Chelsea board have come to realise how thin their squad really is. Thus in order to make amends and also please Antonio Conte in the process, the Chelsea management are lining up bids for Alex Sandro and Alexis Sanchez.

Chelsea are planning a £60 million for Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez who is out of contract at the Emirates next summer. The Gunners realise that Sanchez wants to leave the club and they are willing to cash in on it rather than let him walk away for free.

The Blues know that a series of Premier League teams are after the Chilean and bagging him will not be a cakewalk. Both the Manchester teams are frontrunners in the deal and Manchester City even went agonisingly close to signing him this summer.

Both City and United still have a substantial interest in the player and they are expected to make their individual bids for the player in January. While Chelsea are definitely last in this race but Conte has something to offer that both the Manchester clubs might not. If Sanchez were to choose Chelsea then he will be more or less guaranteed a first-team spot. And if he chooses either United or City then he will probably have to earn his spot in the playing eleven.

Chelsea are also planning to make a move for Juventus left-back Alex Sandro during the January transfer window. Conte has been a long-term admirer of the player and made a series of bids for him during the summer. But Juventus were adamant not to sell him off. Chelsea though have not given up hope and will most definitely make a move for the Brazilian in January.
