Chelsea beat Huddersfield Town 3-1 during the midweek Premier League fixture and got back to winning ways but not everyone was pleased after the match.

Chelsea were without their prolific striker Alvaro Morata who missed the game through injury but for some reason, Antonio Conte chose not to start with Michy Batshuayi – his other striker. The Italian instead deployed Eden Hazard and Willian in the forward roles with Batshuayi only coming on as a substitute late in the second half.

This lack of faith in the Belgium is a very clear indication that Batshuayi will be moving out of the club – either in January or during the summer. And Chelsea might have already made up their mind as to where he would be heading.

Earlier this week reports suggested that Chelsea were in the hunt for Monaco’s Thomas Lemar and now it seems as if the Blues are planning to use him in a swap deal to bring the Frenchman to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea were planning to make a bid for the Monaco star during the January transfer window and now they just throw in Batshuayi in the mix just for good measure. Monaco has been forced to sell a lot of their star players during the summer and they too are in dire need of reinforcements.

But if this supposed deal goes through then the biggest losers will most certainly be Arsenal as the Gunners have an interest in both these players. While Arsene Wenger has held an interest in Batshuayi, Thomas Lemar, on the other hand, remains one of the club’s biggest transfer targets.
