David Luiz has reportedly offered himself to Barcelona as the Camp Nou outfit keeps searching for a replacement to Javier Mascherano.
Mascherano will move out of Barcelona during the January transfer window after getting a high profile deal from Chinese outfit Hebei Fortune. And the Catalans are currently on the lookout for a replacement. It was being reported that Barcelona are looking at Manchester United’s Daley Blind as a potential option but now it seems that David Luiz has turned into a strong favourite.
Luiz recently went to Barcelona for medical reasons and now Catalunya Radio(as reported by the Mirror) are claiming that the Chelsea outcast has offered himself to the Catalans while on that trip.
Luiz is currently sidelined due to a knee injury and also because of a major fallout with Chelsea manager Antonio Conte. The Brazilian has not featured in a game for over a month and it is more or less certain that he will be shown the door during the January transfer window.
Manchester United, Arsenal and even Newcastle United were interested in signing the central defender but now it seems that David Luiz is on his way to Barcelona.
