Here is a quick overview at how Chelsea’s players have fared so far on the international break.

Belgium sealed qualification for the 2018 World Cup with wins that included a 9-0 win against Gibraltar and a hard fought 2-1 win away at Greece. Courtois featured in both the games for the Red Devils. Belgium Captain Eden Hazard played 90 mins against Gibraltar on his return from injury, scoring once and assisting another. He also featured for 15 mins against Greece. Striker Michy Batshuayi was an unused substitute in both the matches.

Chelsea captain Gary Cahill played out both games for England as they beat Malta and Slovakia and took a step closer to qualification. England need just 2 points in their next two games to qualify for Russia.

Cesar Azpilicueta, Pedro, and Alvaro Morata were all called up for the Spain squad but only Chelsea’s newest recruit featured in the first of the qualifiers against Italy. Alvaro Morata came off the bench and scored within no time as Spain sealed a comfortable 3-0 win over Italy. La Roja face Liechtenstein later tonight.

Germany sealed qualification with a 6-0 drubbing of Norway. Antonio Rudiger helped them keep a clean sheet. He also played 29 mins in the first match of the round against the Czech Republic.

Young Andreas Christensen was an unused substitute in both of Denmarks wins.

Brazil extended their massive lead in the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers with a 2-0 win against Ecuador. Willian put up a brilliant show as he set Paulinho up for the opener.

Victor Moses scored and assisted one in the first game against Cameroon and also featured a full 90 mins in the reverse fixture.

New boy Davide Zappacosta just earned a call up to strengthen an ailing Italian side as they get ready to face Israel.

N’Golo Kante played 180 mins over the two matches for France as they smashed Netherlands by 4 goals to nil but played out a dull 0-0 against Luxembourg.

At the junior level, Jay Dasilva and Jacob Maddox played their second game for England Under-20s, following up a win over the Netherlands last week with a 0-0 draw away against Switzerland. Having been a sub in the first game, Maddox started this time and Dasilva was again the captain, one of only two to begin both games.

For England Under-18s, George McEachran and Marc Guehi were second-half subs in 2-1 home defeat by South Africa. Jon Panzo was unused.

Earlier in this round of internationals, Danilo Pantic, on loan at Partizan Belgrade, made his Serbia Under-21s debut and scored twice in a 4-0 win over Gibraltar. That was in a Euro qualifier.
