Here are the Chelsea player’s ratings during their 4-0 win at Baku against Qarabag:
Courtois: 6.5/10
The Chelsea No 1 was saved by the crossbar early on in the match but once the home team went down to 10 men he did not have much to do.
Rudiger: 7/10
Was good overall.
Azpilicueta: 7/10
Started in central defence then moved to left-wing back. Did not have much to do but came up with a decent performance.
David Luiz: 6.5/10
Supported Chelsea attack due to Qarabag’s depleted team on the pitch.
N’Golo Kante: 8/10
Typical solid performance at the heart of midfield. Not much to dissect here.
Fabregas: 8/10
Could not impact the game in the first 20 minutes but once Qarabag were reduced to 10 men the Spaniard dictated the play much more.
Willian: 9/10
Was undoubtedly the hero of the match. Won two penalties and also scored two goals.
Zappacosta: 6/10
Lost possession a number of times and it was he who lost the ball through which Qarabag almost scored a goal.
Marcos Alonso: 6/10
Was a below average performance as per his own standards.
Hazard: 8/10
Scored the first goal for Chelsea in the 21st minute from the penalty spot. Was good overall.
Pedro: 8/10
Was a great attacking threat for Chelsea. Managed to create space in the Qarabag’s defensive line for his teammates to exploit.
Substitutes:
Cahill: N/A
Wasn’t troubled much by the Qarabag attack.
Drinkwater: N/A
Morata: 7/10
Created good chances but also missed a good opportunity to extend Chelsea’s lead.
