Yesterday, news started floating around England that Chelsea and Leicester City had agreed upon a fee of £45 million for Algerian International Riyad Mahrez.
This was after the Algerian National team had released Mahrez before their World Cup qualifier match against Zambia so that he could complete a transfer. This news was followed by a photo which claimed that Mahrez had landed in Paris and the player was wanted by the likes of Barcelona, Manchester United and Chelsea.

But around 6:00 BST on Thursday it was claimed by various sources that Chelsea were on the brink of signing Mahrez. But since then the transfer window has closed but no one seems to know the where about of Riyad Mahrez.
Some sources claim that he is in Spain and can still sign for Barcelona( the Spanish transfer window does not close before September 2nd). Camp Nou has always been the preferred destination for the Algerian but Leicester City have maintained that they are yet to receive any bids for Mahrez.
