Are Chelsea set to lose yet another deadline day transfer target?

Well, it seems so.

According to the latest reports, Tottenham Hotspur are said to raid the Chelsea transfer basket and scoop up Fernando Llorente from it. Chelsea, for the longest time, were said to be the frontrunners to signing the 32-year-old from Swansea. And the Welsh outfit were holding on to the deal only because the club were trying to find a replacement for Llorente.

Now Swansea have brought back Wilfried Bony from Manchester City for a fee of £12 million. And as soon as the deal was announced Chelsea fans thought that Paul Clement would open the doors for Llorente.

But Spurs and Mauricio Pochettino had other plans. The North London club have reportedly made a late bid for Fernando Llorente and are now leading the race to sign the Spaniard – according to various sources.

The Daily Mail also claims that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is furious over the fact that Tottenham Hotspur have been able to take away Llorente from right under their noses.
