Chelsea have made a few signings in the summer and atleast some of them will get some much-needed game-time when Chelsea play in the Community Shield at Wembley on Sunday.

We take a look at how Chelsea will line-up against Arsenal in the season’s first competitive game at Wembley.

Goalkeeper:

Thibaut Courtois will be the goalkeeper for Antonio Conte.

Defence:

Much like Arsenal, Conte too will line-up his team in a 3-4-3 formation – one that he put to such great effect in the previous season. Chelsea will have three defenders in the back line and they will be the trio of David Luiz, Ceaser Azpilicueta and Gary Cahill.

Unlike Wenger, Antonio Conte does not have to worry about injuries as far as his defensive line is concerned.

Midfield:

Chelsea will play with two wing-backs – Victor Moses in the right wing and Marcos Alonso on the left-hand side. Antonio Conte has made it clear that Moses will definitely start the match as he is ruled out of the first league game of the season against Burnley.

Conte will play Cesc Fabregas and N’Golo Kante in a central midfield partnership as his latest signing Tiemoue Bakayoko is still recovering from a knee surgery. The Italian will not be happy with his midfield partnership especially after what Bayern did to Kante and Fabregas during a pre-season game. But as of now, Conte does not have a choice.

Attack:

The Chelsea boss has an absentee in this department also in the form of  Eden Hazard who is ruled out of action due to an ankle surgery. So we assume that Michy Batshuayi will take his place on the pitch while Willian will be the other attacking midfielder.

Chelsea’s star signing of the season – Alvaro Morata will also get to start in the match and he will be leading the line in the final third for Chelsea.
