Bengaluru FC travels to Goa to play Churchill Brothers Sports Club on the 27th of January 2017. This encounter could easily prove to be a double-edged sword for Churchill. Bengaluru FC suffered their first defeat of the season at the hands of East Bengal last weekend.

Churchill themselves have a lot of problems of their own. They are yet to register their first win of the season. And they only managed a draw in their last match. They will not be wanting to host the defending champions at the back of such a wretched form. More so when Bengaluru will be eager to come back to winning ways. And that too with some authority.

Bengaluru’s loss to East Bengal would have been costly to their title defense. But league leaders Mohun Bagan managed to draw their match against DSK. This is indeed good news for the last year’s champions as the title race is still wide open.

This match will also be important to Bengaluru as next they play their AFC Champions League qualifying match. And the blues would like to walk into that match with all the momentum they can gather. C K Vineeth has been in fine form for the Blues and is currently the top scorer of the league. He will definitely be wanting to extend his fine goal scoring run.

A large group of supporters from the West Block Blues(Bengaluru FC fan club) have traveled to Goa to support and cheer for their team. This is an unusual thing as travelling fan contingents are not very common in the Indian Football circuit. And it a very healthy sign that Indian Football is truly moving in the right direction.
