Crystal Palace have received a huge boost to their squad before they face Chelsea next week as Wilfried Zaha has returned back to training.

The 24-year-old has been on the sidelines recovering from a knee injury which he picked up on the opening day of the new season against Huddersfield Town.

Even though the winger will feature for the first time under new boss Roy Hodgson but both of them know each other pretty well as it was Hodgson who had handed Zaha his International debut back in 2012.

Zaha started his training at Palace’s Beckenham training ground on Thursday along with his other teammates who had not gone for International duty.

The Eagles are currently at the bottom of the table as the club have failed to gain even a single point from their seven matches in the Premier League. And in such a scenario the return of their English International serves a positive for Roy Hodgson as well as the fans.

Palace have lost all their matches in the Premier League this season and their performance has been so woeful that the Eagles have not yet scored a single goal in their 7 games.

Crystal Palace had started the season with Frank De Boer as their manager but the Dutchman was sacked after just 4 games in charge. The Eagles then brought in former England manager Roy Hodgson in order to steady the ship. But up until now, even Hodgson is finding it difficult to get back Palace to winning ways.

Now though, the return of Wilfried Zaha seems to be a bright light for Crystal Palace as the fans are hoping that the winger can finally spark a win.
