Dani Alves gives an emotional goodbye as he looks set to join Man City

Dani Alves joined Juventus last season on a two-year contract. But the Brazilian has decided to leave the club after just one season.

Alves had a really wonderful first season with the Turin gaints winning the domestic double and narrowly missing out on the Champions League. But it was the defeat to Real Madrid in the UCL finals that is said to be one of the main reasons of his departure.

Reports claimed that Alves’ relation with the Juventus management started detoriating after the final in Cardiff. And it was confirmed by Juventus’ chief executive last week that Alves has asked to leave the club.

But before making his way out of Turin, Dani Alves has posted an emotional message on his Instagram account thanking all the fans and supporters of Juventus.

“I think that my respect for this club and it’s supporters was my dedication, my passion and all my effort to make the club greater every single day.”

He also apologized to all the all the fans for any of his wrongdoings.

But in his post he made it clear that he did not leave the club for money. He said, “I don’t play football for money, I play football because I love the profession. I love football and money is never going to keep me somewhere.”

Now with the Juventus chapter behind him, Dani Alves looks all set to join Manchester City. Alves is now looking for a fresh challenge as he gets ready to be reunited with his old boss.
